Language Arts (ELL)
I began teaching Language Arts for English Language Learners (ELLs) in 2009, after a 25-year career as a freelance technical writer. This career change confirmed for me that I love working with students from all over the world and I value the differences that these students bring to my classroom. After two years in the middle school, I began teaching high school in 2011.

You will find a reading log form, the rubric on which I will grade your reading, and two versions of a Reader’s Response Journal.
Remember: You are required to read at least six books per quarter, and 24 books a year. The more books you read, and the more Reader’s Response Journals you write, the more credit you receive.
