The Winooski Essential Early Education (EEE) Program

Our mission at the Winooski School District EEE Program is to identify children with developmental challenges and to provide early childhood special education services. These services allow children to participate in typical early childhood activities to the best of their abilities, to reach their full learning potential, and to prepare them for the next learning environment.

The Winooski Essential Early Education Program

The Winooski Essential Early Education Program offers a preschool program for children ages 3 and 4 years old. Our preschool classroom is specifically designed to provide a rich pre-school experience for all children and follows the Winooski School District’s school calendar. The EEE program collaborates with HeadStart to provide a high quality learning experience for children. The classroom staff consist of an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, a HeadStart Early Childhood Teacher, and two classroom assistants. Other Specialists like Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and Physical Therapist come into the classroom to provide services/support for students on an Individualized Education Program (IEP). The classroom includes students with special needs and peer models. There is a morning session from 7:30 a.m.  to 11:00 a.m. and an afternoon session from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Currently, the EEE Center is accepting applications for peer models ages 3 and 4 years of age. A Peer Model Student is expected to demonstrate age appropriate skills in the areas of play, social, behavior, speech, language, and motor skills.

If you are interested in your child being considered as a peer model, please fill out a Pre-Kindergarten Application.

If you have concerns about your child’s development our Winooski Early Childhood Program team can screen your 3 or 4 year old child’s development. We can look at your child’s Speech/Language Skills, Motor Skills, Adaptive Skills, Personal/Social Skills, and Academic/Cognitive Skills. If you have concerns please fill out a screening referral form from 3 to 6 years old.
