This is my sixth year as faculty of WHS, and tenth year as a teacher. I became a science teacher because I love to learn about the natural world- the what, where, why, and how it all works. I tell my students all the time that, although I love science, it is not always easy to understand, even for me and other scientists. We have to work hard to find evidence to support what we feel, think, and believe, and that isn’t always easy. We may work for years, sometimes our entire lives, to answer one question, but the more we practice, the more we persist, the more we believe in ourselves, the more we can learn.
No matter how challenging this is, it is worth it. Being educated about the world does not only improve our life, it can help to improve others’. I look forward to seeing my students each day and exploring this glorious world with them.
